The restaurant has hundreds of beer steins hanging all over, and my husband asked the bartender to take one down for him to examine more closely (he has a collection).
We were starving after the 5 hour drive and decided to try the BeerHouse Restaurant. The room was big enough that there wasn't really an issue for the three of us to share a room for one night.
Upon arrival we wanted to get a separate room for her, but the entire hotel was booked solid because of some widespread power outages from storms that week. We were traveling with my sister in law, and had booked a suite several weeks in advance. It is a LONG walk for someone who is handicapped (as my husband is-walking is difficult for him). The hotel is set up as a HUGE long hall starting with the reception area, through to the restaurants, then ending up at the entrance to the casino. River City Hotel was reminiscent of a good hotel in New Orleans. My husband and I have visited MANY gaming establishments in the US and abroad. We stopped here on our way up north, splitting the trip halfway to Chicago.
